Principle of Operation
Centrifugal processing is single step and “one pot”
process. The process time is also comparatively short as compared
to the process times of multistep extrusion-spheronization operations
and spheroid production by balling in coating pan.
Besides the advantage of short process time, contamination problems
can also be minimized by the containment of the whole process
in the same equipment, i.e. In “one pot”.

Indeed, the requirements of process validation
or Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) would be simplified
as the complete spheroid production process can be restricted
to a single processor.
The coating & drying can also be done on the machine with
the help of a perforated plate which allows air to pass through
the groove during process operation.
